Common Landlord Questions

Do I have to pay a commission? If you find the tenant yourself, you pay $0 commission. If an agent brings you a tenant, you pay the commission that you negotiate with the other broker(typically around 1/2 month's rent). How long does the listing last? Your rental listing stays on the MLS for up to 12 months, or until it is leased. You can cancel anytime. Do you handle tenant screening? We provide the exposure; you handle the screening. We recommend using a third-party service like SmartMove or KeyCheck to run credit and background checks. How do brokers and tenants contact me? The MLS does not allow us to put your contact information directly on the MLS database in a section that shows up on public websites. Brokers will see your contact preferences under the showing instructions on the MLS. Any direct tenants inquiries that come in to us will be forwarded via email.
